Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian population is expected to increase to 191.3 million by 2052, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
This population is forecast be based on the current delivery rates of 3.4 children for each woman.
As for the impact of the rising population on different sectors during the 2017-2052 period, the number of schools, teachers, and educational supplies would have to be doubled.
This comes along with the expected increase in the health services with 4,000 hospitals in 2052 from 2,000 in 2017 as well as 257,000 doctors in 2052.
The CAPMAS further remarked that around 27 million job opportunities should be available to accommodate the rising number in labour force.
