UAE – Mubasher: The automotive trade index in Abu Dhabi has continued its positive performance during the first ten months of 2019 as it rose by 5% on an annual basis, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Monday citing data by the Statistics Centre-Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

During the January-October period of last year, the value of local car sales leapt to AED 28.66 billion, while auto resales significantly soared by 27% year-on-year (YoY) during the same period, registering AED 14.459 billion, up from AED 11.38 billion in the same period last year.

Additionally, imports accounted for AED 13.854 billion during the period from January to October 2019, compared to AED 15.67 billion in 2018, while car exports increased by of 37.2% annually at AED 350 million in 2019 from AED 255 million.
