UAE, Indonesia ink $23bn agreements
These agreements are part of Indonesia's efforts to strengthen its foreign investments

UAE – Mubasher: Indonesia and the UAE have signed eleven agreements at a total value of 314.9 trillion rupiah ($23 billion) in energy and other sectors, the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, announced in his official Twitter account on Monday.

The Indonesian president said that these agreements, which are part of his country’s efforts to strengthen its foreign investments and stimulate economic growth, were inked in the presence of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian coordinating minister for maritime affairs and investment, Luhut Panjaitan, referred that Widodo and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also discussed a plan to establish a sovereign wealth fund to invest in developing Indonesia’s new capital.

It is noteworthy to mention that on Sunday, 12 January, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indonesian president witnessed the signing of 16 agreements and memorandums of understandings (MoUs) in different sectors, including health, agriculture, and nutritional diversity.
