EGX30 slips below 13,700 pts at Monday’s close
The market’s turnover stood at EGP 227.45 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note amid local purchases and foreign sell-offs.

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.75%, ending the session at 13,698 points, pressured by the decline in several blue-chip stocks.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) retreated 1.23% to EGP 83, after generating a turnover of EGP 365.4 million.

The EGX70 index edged up by 0.07% to 526.57 points, while the EGX100 index declined by 0.16% to 1,369 points.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 227.45 million after 937.26 million shares were exchanged through about 23,300 transactions.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 203.27 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 137.6 million and EGP 65.6 million, respectively.

The market cap lost about EGP 3.4 billion to EGP 696.13 billion.
