DFM ends Tuesday higher; turnover hits AED 265.5m
The trading volume totalled 217.74 million shares

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Exchange (DFM) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, for the third consecutive time, as it was up by 0.98% or 27.32 points, settling at 2,802.90 points.

The market’s turnover registered AED 265.54 million after 217.74 million shares were exchanged through 3,298 transactions.

The market cap value leaped by AED 2.21 billion to reach AED 379.03 billion from AED 376.82 billion in the previous session.

The consumer staples instrument went up by 2.68%, whereas the banks segment was down by 0.95%.

Takaful Emarat – Insurance Co topped 24 winners with 14.55%, whereas Union Properties headed eight losers with 9.62%.

Emaar Properties achieved the highest turnover of AED 64.63 million, while Union Properties led the trading activity through the exchange of 78.43 million shares.

The leading stock of Damac Properties added 2.81%, followed by DXB Entertainments with 2.27%.
