UAE – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Power Corporation (ADPower) on Wednesday announced the launch of Abu Dhabi Energy Services Company (ADES) as part of ADPower's portfolio of companies, with the aim to strengthen the transformation of the water and electricity sector in Abu Dhabi. 

The new development will contribute to the retrofitting of existing buildings to cut the water and electricity consumption in line with The Abu Dhabi Demand Side Management and Energy Rationalisation Strategy (DSM) 2030, according to a press release.

Moreover, it will identify and finance the solutions that remarkably contribute to water and electricity rationalisation.

In this regard, CEO and managing director of Abu Dhabi Corporation, Jasim Thabet, explained, “By remaining focused on implementing sustainable solutions for our broad base of customers, we will continue to ensure that the sector remains efficient, reliable, value-generating and fit for Abu Dhabi’s future."   

Based in Abu-Dhabi, the new initiative is expected to spur the growth of the local energy services market by offering more opportunities to private entities to take part in efficiency projects.
