Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.54% or 15.09 points higher at 2,817.99 points.

The trading value amounted to AED 227.41 million as 235.41 million shares were exchanged through 2,754 transactions.

As for the market cap, the DFM gained AED 1.03 billion to AED 380.06 billion from AED 379.03 billion.

The services sector topped the gainers with 1.79%, while the consumer staple sector was the only decliner with 1.05%.

United Properties, topping the winners with 10.19%, was the most active stock on which 123.84 million shares were exchanged.

As for the top fallers, Mashreq Bank dropped 3.75%.

Meanwhile, Emaar Properties posted the highest trading value of AED 59.32 million.
