Egypt-Germany cooperation portfolio hits EUR 1.7bn – Minister
Germany leads European countries in terms of the volume of economic cooperation with Egypt

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of international cooperation Rania Al Mashat has explored possible economic and development cooperation opportunities with a delegation from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.

Germany leads European countries in terms of the volume of economic cooperation with Egypt through KfW Development Bank and German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), according to a statement on Thursday.

The volume of cooperation portfolio between Egypt and Germany reached EUR 1.69 billion across 50 projects, including rehabilitating hydropower stations and supporting school nutrition programmes, along with several projects in the pipeline in water, sanitation, and infrastructure sectors as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
