TASI ends 114 pts higher in week; Aramco stands at SAR 34.6
The media sector surged 7.2%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) increased by 114.03 points, or 0.6%, to reach 8,459.8 points in a week.

The media sector surged 7.2%, while the insurance and pharma sectors added 5.5% and 5.45%, respectively.

The materials sector gained 2.66%, the banking sector rose by 0.9% and the telecom sector tacked on 0.6%, while the energy sector shed 1.1% and the software and services sector levelled down by 0.7%.

Aramco’s stock price declined to SAR 34.6 at the end of the third week of January, compared to SAR 35 billion in the previous week.

TASI’s market capitalisation decreased to SAR 8.905 trillion ($2.375 trillion) this week, from SAR 8.959 trillion ($2.389 trillion) a week earlier.

On the other hand, trading volume grew to 950.84 million shares, while liquidity increased to SAR 20.67 billion.
