Egypt's international reserves grew to $45.419 billion at the end of 2019

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt raised its holdings of US Treasuries by 0.8% year-on-year to $2.176 billion in November 2019, compared to $2.159 billion, data by the US Department of the Treasury showed.

Month-on-month, the North African nation’s holdings of US debt instruments increased from $2.171 billion in October 2019.

During the January-November period of 2019, Egypt’s holdings of US Treasuries grew by $69 billion, or 3.5%, from $2.102 billion at the end of 2018.

It is noteworthy that at the end of December 2019, the most populous Arab nation's net international reserves went up by $65 million, or 0.14%, month-on-month to $45.419 billion from $45.354 billion, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
