TASI down 0.12% Sunday on profit-making
TASI closed the first session of the week at 8,449 points

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Sunday’s trading session in decline, on the back of losses by banks and energy stocks.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) lost 0.12% or 10.51 points and closed at the level of 8,449.29 points.

Traded volumes decreased to 158.057 million shares, compared with 168.72 million shares on Thursday, with values reaching SAR 3.317 billion, down from SAR 3.49 billion.

As for the sectors’ performance, the energy index fell by 0.51% as Aramco plunged by 0.72%; while the banks' sector lost 0.45%, as Al Rajhi went down by 0.15%.

National Gypsum was the top rising stocks and surged by 7.98%, while SABB was the biggest loser and dropped 1.98%.

Dar Al Arkan was the most actively traded stock with 16.81 million traded shares, while Saudi Aramco recorded the highest turnover with SAR 377.15 million.

The decline is a result of profit-making after recent rises, according to economic expert and market analyst Saud Al Mutair.

Al Mutair told Mubasher that the market will resume gains, supported by improved sentiment regarding the trade agreement between the US and China and the stability of oil prices.
