Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Monday’s trading session on a positive note, supported by the gains of major market sectors.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up by 0.24% or 20.42 points and closed at 8,469.71 points.

Meanwhile, traded volumes increased to 174.43 million shares, compared with 158.057 million shares on Sunday.

Traded values also rose to SAR 3.68 billion, up from SAR 3.32 billion yesterday.

Shaker led the rising stocks as it surged by 8.73%, while Saudi Ceramics was the top faller and plunged by 2.84%.

Saudi Aramco logged the highest turnover with SAR 248.94 million, followed by Al Rajhi with SAR 196.19 million, and Dar Al Arkan with SAR 194.82 million, which was the most actively traded stock with 19.4 million shares.

Commercial services was the top rising market sector index with 1.54%, followed by transportation with 1.14%.

Energy and banks rose by 0.51% and 0.35%, respectively, while materials levelled up by 0.03%.

On the other hand, food retailing dropped 1.4%, followed by consumer services and utilities with 0.83% and 0.73%, in that order.
