Egypt launches 2 oil tankers with $14m investments
Each tanker has a storage capacity of 1,750 tonnes

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has launched two oil tankers in Port Said and Suez to supply vessels with fuel with total investment of $14 million (EGP 221 million), Ahram Gate reported on Sunday.

The two oil tankers are launched by Misr Petroleum Company, boosting the company’s ship-refuelling sector and bringing the total number of its oil tankers to three, the petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla said.

This move is part of the ministry’s strategy to replace single-hulled tankers with double-hulled ones, El-Molla added, noting that each tanker has a storage capacity of 1,750 tonnes.
