ADX decreases on Monday; market cap down AED 5.42bn
Invest Bank topped the decliners with 10%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 1.2% or 62.77 points to 5,167.24 points by the end of Monday’s trading session.

A total of 132.67 million shares were exchanged through 1,260 transactions at a value of AED 389.66 million.

The market cap value decreased by AED 5.42 billion to AED 536.65 billion from AED 542.07 million in the previous session.

The sectors of energy, telecommunications, real estate, and banks fell by 1.92%, 1.09%, 1.04%, and 1.5%, respectively.

Invest Bank topped the decliners with 10%, while Abu Dhabi Ship Building led the gainers with 13.3%.

At the same time, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), down 1.39%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 23.91 million, while Aldar Properties, down 0.9%, posted the highest trading volume of 9.62 million shares.

As for the losing blue chips, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Dana Gas, Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) decreased by 2.76%, 2.28%, 1.09%, 1.04%, and 0.95%, respectively.
