Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 3.2 billion in customs duties and charges at Port Said during December 2019.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said reached EGP 553.6 million during the last month of 2019, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.

Moreover, value-added taxes (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 2.7 billion during the month, the statement showed.

The imported goods included ready-made garments, shoes, bags, mobile accessories, and stationary, textiles.
