Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Monday’s trading session in decline, which came on the back of losses by the banking and materials sectors.

This is the fifth consecutive daily decline for the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), which closed today at the level of 8,178.47 points, losing 148.50 points or 1.78%.

Traded volumes stood at 174.58 million shares, with a total turnover of SAR 3.851 billion exchanges through 179,540 transactions.

As for the market sector indices, banks dropped 2.61%, while materials and energy fell 1.78% and 0.45%, respectively. Food retailing was the only gainer and levelled up by 0.81%.

In the meantime, Al Sorayai led 169 declining stocks and dropped 9.63%, while MedGulf was the top gainer, among 22 rising stocks, and added 3.73%.

Al Rajhi topped the liquidity charts with SAR 308.50 million, while Dar Al Arkan was the most actively traded stock with 21.12 million shares.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market (NOMU) plunged by 0.78% to end the week’s second session at 7,348.89 points.
