UAE – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP) have signed a strategic agreement to explore and develop Jebel Ali Project gas reservoir.

The reservoir is one of the largest shallow gas fields discovered between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with 80 trillion cubic feet of estimated reserves.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

It is noteworthy to mention that in late January, Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) announced the UAE’s latest discoveries of a natural gas and associated condensate field in Sharjah with flow rates of up to 50 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscf/d).
