Cisco appoints new MEA vice president

Mubasher: Cisco, one of the world’s leading information technology and networking company, has appointed Reem Asaad as its new vice president for the Middle East and Africa region, according to the company’s recent press release.

Asaad’s two-decade experience across industries including technology, financial services, customer experience will help her in the new position, which focuses on strengthening the company’s collaboration with governments, customers, and partners.

Previously, Cisco’s new vice president held the position of CEO at Raya Contact Center, a Cairo-based business process outsourcing service provider with operations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Commenting on the appointment, the president of Cisco’s Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia region, Wendy Mars, said: “Reem has a wealth of experience in business leadership and strong understanding of the digital transformation landscape. I am confident of Reem’s ability to empower our workforce and help regional businesses address their challenges.”

Meanwhile, the vice president of Cisco MEA, Reem Asaad, remarked: “Together (with her team), we will focus on how to expand Cisco’s reach, empower local businesses and create a greater business and social impact in the MEA region.”
