Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note amid foreign purchases.

The main EGX30 index edged up 0.02% to 14,108 points, supported by the rise in blue-chip stocks.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB), which fell by 1.05% to EGP 86, generated a turnover of EGP 29.56 million.

Meanwhile, the EGX70 EWI rose by 0.25% to 1,277 points, while the EGX100 index grew by 0.31% to 1,405 points.

Similarly, the EGX50 index went up by 0.26% to 1,938 points.

The market’s trading volume amounted to 125.19 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 469.6 million through around 18,480 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 186.9 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 171.2 million and EGP 15.7 million.
