Egyptian oil ministry inks 5 agreements on EGYPS 2020’s 3rd day

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s oil ministry signed five agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the third day of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2020).

An agreement was signed for the expansion of Western Desert gas complex in Alexandria, according to a statement released on Thursday.

A consortium of Enppi and Petrojet will be the general contractor of the project which includes the building of a new line with a production capacity of 600 million cubic feet per day.

The new line will increase the gas complex's capacity to 1.5 billion cubic feet per day.

The Egyptian oil ministry also signed an agreement for methanol derivatives project in Damietta.

Moreover, the ministry signed MoUs with Vantage International Management, Clarksons Egypt, and Sahara Petroleum Services.

EGYPS 2020 is held on 11-13 February at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. The three-day event is expected to attract 30,000 visitors, 1,600 delegates, 270 speakers, and 450 exhibitors.
