UAE – Mubasher: Etihad Cargo has inked partnership agreements with Dubai National Air Transport Agency (dnata), one of the world's largest air services providers, according to a press release on Monday.

Under the agreements, which are expected to remain effective until 2023, dnata will manage 180,000 tonnes of air cargo carried across Etihad Cargo’s 15 global gateways every year via its warehouse and cargo handling services.

With dnata adding its warehouse operations to Canada’s Toronto Pearson Airport from 5 February in addition to Singapore’s Changi Airport starting 1 May, Etihad Cargo and dnata will extend their services to North America and South Asia Pacific for the first time.

Alongside Etihad Cargo, Etihad Airways benefits from dnata’s passenger ground and ramp handling services at nine global locations.

In this regard, the head of operations and service delivery at Etihad Cargo, Andre Blech, said: “Our extended agreements with dnata reinforce a partnership that has grown rapidly during the past decade, and marks a significant milestone between two UAE entities with truly global presence.”
