EGX ends Monday higher on foreign buying
Market capitalisation gained EGP 2.38 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note amid foreign purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.46%, ending the session at 13,800 points.

Similarly, the EGX70 EWI went up by 0.19% to 1,256 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.2% to 1,374 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 index advanced by 0.43% to close at 1,876 points.

Market capitalisation gained EGP 2.38 billion to EGP 698.97 billion on Monday, compared to EGP 696.59 billion on Sunday.

Trading volume amounted to 106.25 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.5 billion through nearly 14,520 transactions.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 221.77 million and EGP 97.7 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 319.47 million.
