Abu Dhabi’s industrial facilities grow by over 57% in 2019
Abu Dhabi encourages local and foreign investors to initiate their industrial businesses

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi has witnessed s surge of 57% in the number of operating industrial facilities to 66 facilities at a value of AED 6.29 billion in 2019, compared to 42 facilities in 2018.

The emirate’s total number of industrial licenses reached 1,552 that included 811 with ‘production’ status, 535 ‘under process,’ and 206 ‘industry pioneers’, according to the latest annual industrial activity report issued by the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) in Abu Dhabi.

The undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), Rashed Abdul Karim Al Balooshi, referred that the growth in the emirate’s industrial sector in the past three years is driven by IDB’s efforts to develop a business-friendly and positive environment.

Al Balooshi added: “We continue to encourage local and foreign investors to initiate their industrial businesses in Abu Dhabi by adopting leading programmes and initiatives launched and executed by ADDED. These programmes and initiatives are designed to support the industrial facilities and increase the productivity of local non-oil products.”
