Cairo – Mubasher: Construction of East Port Said water desalination plant has reached 95% completion, head of East Port Said City Authority Alaa Manei said.

The desalination plant will have a capacity of 150,000 cubic metres per day, with plans to be expanded in the future to a capacity of 250,000 cubic metres per day to serve about 500,000 people, he added in a statement on Tuesday.

The new plant is designed to fulfill the demand for water for various purposes, including drinking, agricultural, and industrial activities.
