TASI sees highest gains in 29 sessions at Wednesday’s close
The market’s turnover hiked to SAR 2.84 billion

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a high note.

TASI advanced by 1.38% or 108.67 points, ending the session at 7,967.6 points, registering the highest gain in 29 sessions.

The market’s turnover hiked to SAR 2.84 billion on Wednesday from SAR 2.5 billion in the previous session, while the traded volume rose to 112 million shares from 96.87 million on Tuesday.

The basic materials sector topped the gainers with 1.95%, followed by the banks sector which grew by 1.4%.

Al Moammar Information Systems Co’s stock led the risers and jumped by 9.87%, while Salama Cooperative Insurance Co’s stock headed the losers after sliding by 3.64%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, lost 18.93 points or 0.26% to close at 7,208.44 points.

Al-Samaani Factory For Metal Industries Co was NOMU’s worst performer with 1.47%, while Development Works Food Co’s was NOMU’s best performer after rising by 1.42%.
