Cairo – Mubasher: Most of the Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) general indices closed higher on Wednesday, with market capitalisation gained EGP 1.5 billion.

The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.43% to reach 13,694 points, while the EGX70 index added 0.29% to stand at 1,241 points.

Market capitalisation rose to EGP 693.85 billion on Wednesday, compared to EGP 692.35 billion in the previous session.

The EGX100 index stabilised at 1,358 points, while the equally-weighted index, EGX50, grew by 0.41% to 1,453 points.

The EGX’s trading volume hit 168.03 million shares and the market’s liquidity amounted to EGP 1.29 billion.
