Tadawul restores 8,000-point level at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Thursday’s trading session up by 0.50% or 39.79 points, and closed at 8,007.39 points.

This is the first time for the main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange to retain the 8,000-point level in nine sessions.

Traded volumes increased today to 147.7 million shares, compared with 112 million shares on Wednesday, with traded values amounting to SAR 3.83 billion, compared with SAR 2.83 billion yesterday.

The National Company for Learning and Education (NCLE) ended the session as the top rising stock, surging by 8.81%, while Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) was the top loser and fell by 3.17%.

In total 122 stocks closed in green, while 58 closed in red.

The energy sector index added 0.70%, on the back of Aramco that rose by 0.75%, while materials went up by 0.83%, as SABIC increased by 1.33%.

Economic analyst Saad Al Thaqfaan told Mubasher that as the market closed today above the 8,000 points mark, it also saw an increased liquidity after one of the worst weeks in terms of trade volume, with a positive sentiment regarding the retreat of the coronavirus and the recovery of oil prices.

Al Rajhi registered the highest traded volume with SAR 275.01 million, while Dar Al Arkan was the most actively traded stock with 10.38 million shares.
