Mubasher: Thomson Reuters Corporation has named former Nielsen Holdings’ president, Steve Hasker, as the new CEO, following Jim Smith, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The new appointment will come into effect as of 15 March 2020. The new CEO served as a top executive at Hollywood talent agency CAA and was a senior adviser to TPG Capital.
The current CEO will stay on for a transition period and will assume the chairman role of the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Moreover, Thomson Reuters’ chief financial officer (CFO), Stephane Bello, will resign from his role and will be succeeded by the current senior vice president of corporate finance, Mike Eastwood. The company noted that Bello will supervise strategy and business development into 2021.
However, Neil Masterson and Brian Peccarelli will remain serving as joint chief operating officers at the company.
