ADX down on Wednesday; market cap records AED 514bn
The market cap value dropped by around AED 4.58 billion

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session at 4,890.68 points, down 0.93% or 45.68 points.

The market cap value dropped by around AED 4.58 billion to AED 514.81 billion from AED 519.39 billion during the previous session.

A total of 46.52 million shares were traded through 2,175 transactions at a value of AED 223.83 million.

Regarding the sectors, the real estate index headed the decliners with 2.64%.

Methaq Takaful Insurance Company topped the red zone with 8.57%, while International Holdings Company led the green zone with 2.07%.

Meanwhile, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), closed down 0.56% and recorded the highest turnover of AED 88.90 million, while Sharjah Islamic Bank was the most actively traded stock with 8.22 million traded shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) came on top of the losing blue chips with 2.90%.
