Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended travel to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina for umrah, as well as the entry of tourist visa holders coming from countries endangered by the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

The precautionary measure aims at combating the coronavirus epidemic, as well as protecting citizens, nationals, and pilgrims, in line with international standards, according to a statement by the Saudi foreign ministry.

Earlier this month, the Saudi kingdom suspended all travel with China for Saudi citizens and other residents in the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia recently announced that all travellers to the Kingdom are required to disclose whether they have visited China two weeks prior to their arrival.
