Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note, dragged by Arab and foreign sell-offs.

The benchmark EGX30 index fell by 1.45%, ending the session at 13,008 points.

Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX70 index dropped by 1.14% to 1,209 points, while the EGX100 index declined by 1.12% to 1,311 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index went down by 1.58% to close at 1,772 points.

The market trading volume amounted to 254 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 987.7 million through around 25,600 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 83.97 million and EGP 37.7 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 121.68 million.

Market cap lost EGP 7.9 billion to close at EGP 666.96 billion.
