Travellers from 10 countries must show coronavirus-free certificates to enter Kuwait
The decision is effective as of next week

Mubasher: Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced that all passengers coming from ten countries should carry medical certificates indicating that they are coronavirus-free to be permitted into the country, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Countries included in the decision are the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Syria, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Georgia, and Lebanon.

The medical certificates with a PCR test result should be issued at the Kuwaiti embassies in the mentioned countries.

The decision, aimed to curb the outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kuwait, is effective as of Sunday 8 March.

It is noteworthy that Kuwaiti nationals will be exempted from the said condition, but they will remain subject to testing procedures at Kuwait International Airport.
