Siemens inks 10-year agreement to establish operations in Dubai
Expo 2020 site will evolve into District 2020

UAE – Mubasher: Siemens has signed a 10-year agreement to lease two buildings in District 2020 to establish its Dubai operations starting from mid-2021.

Following Expo 2020 site’s transition into District 2020, 1,000 Siemens employees will work at the different divisions of Siemens’ businesses including Siemens Energy from the two buildings, according to a press release on Thursday.

The agreement is in line with the German company’s 2017 commitment to set up a global headquarters for its airports, cargo, and port logistics business in District 2020.

The chief pavilions and exhibitions officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, Marjan Faraidooni, said: “Collaborating with Siemens is significant as we work to create an innovation-focused environment that delivers value for decades to come, as part of a meaningful legacy for Expo 2020 Dubai.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of Siemens UAE and Middle East, Dietmar Siersdorfer, stated: “Our new offices will be some of the most technologically advanced in the UAE, and our decision to call District 2020 home underscores our commitment to investing in the future of Dubai and the region beyond 2020.”
