Bahrain Bourse ends week in red
The market’s turnover grew by 21.78% to BHD 4.92 million

Mubasher: The general index of the Bahrain Bourse closed the week in the red territory, after sliding by 42.96 points or 2.57% to 1,617.79 points.

The commercial banks sector declined by 4.06% during the week ended on 5 March after Ahli United Bank BSC (AUB) fell by 2.82%.

Meanwhile, the industrial, services, and investment sectors retreated 0.66%, 0.65%, and 0.54%, respectively.

The stocks of Khaleeji Commercial Bank and Al Salam Bank, also listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), were among the top losers.

On the other hand, Esterad Investment Co, Nass Corporation, and Bahrain Telecommunications (Batelco) led the risers.

The market’s traded volume increased by 8.7% to 18.73 million shares from 17.22 million, while turnover grew by 21.78% to BHD 4.92 million from BHD 4.04 million.
