UAE – Mubasher: The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) has signed a lease contract with Germany’s Schüco International KG, a global leading system solutions provider in the construction sector, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Under the agreement, Schüco will rent 14 warehouses spanning a total area of 8,400 square metres in SAIF Zone, marking the biggest number of warehouses leased by a company in the zone.

Commenting on the rental contract, the director of SAIF Zone, Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, said: “It was a step in the right direction since the construction sector is playing a growing pivotal role in Emirate and the wider region. It is indeed one of the mainstays of the economic diversification strategy developed by the emirate to prepare for the future.”

Meanwhile, the executive senior vice president at Schüco, Jörg. Westphal, remarked that the agreement with SAIF Zone will enable the company to reach more customers in the region and offer services to the region’s markets through its high-quality products.
