Riyadh – Mubasher: Astra Industrial Group achieved a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 29.7 million during fiscal year 2019 when compared to SAR 22.47 million in the previous year, posting a 32.1% annual rise.

As for the revenues, Astra posted a growth of 3.9% to SAR 1.87 billion in 2019 from SAR 1.79 billion a year earlier, according to a bourse disclosure on Thursday.

The positive results in 2019 are attributed to higher operating income which reflected on zakat provision.

Moreover, Astra’s board recommended not to distribute dividends for fiscal year 2019, aiming to preserve the financial solvency of the company.

It is worth noting that during the first nine months last year, Astra posted SAR 10.6 million worth of net profit, lower by 13.7% from SAR 14.7 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
