Mubasher: Kuwait’s health ministry spokesman on Sunday confirmed eight new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, taking the total count to 112 in the Gulf country.

The newly reported cases are all Kuwaiti nationals, including three arriving from the UK and another three who were in contact with those arriving from the UK, as well as one who returned from Iran and was under quarantine, and another who arrived from France via the UAE.

According to the health ministry, nine coronavirus cases in Kuwait have already recovered.

Previously, the Kuwaiti cabinet announced a public holiday for two weeks starting from Thursday, 12 March, until 26 March, amid worries over the novel disease.
