Tadawul closes Sunday in red for third session in row
The benchmark index lost 1.1% at the end of Sunday's trading

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) declined by the end of Sunday’s trading for the third consecutive session, as the all-share index (TASI) lost 1.1% and closed at 6,287.36 points.

Traded volumes amounted to 211.46 million shares, compared with 255.98 million shares on Thursday, with turnovers decreasing to SAR 4.52 billion down from SAR 5.75 billion.

At the end of today’s session, 146 stocks closed in the red zone, led by City Cement that plunged by 10%, while 40 stocks ended the session in the green zone, with SADAFCO topping the gainers as it surged by 6%.

Al Rajhi registered the highest traded value with SAR 596.41 million, while Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 27.24 million shares.

As for the market sectors performance, transportation fell by 6.44%, while banks and energy lost 1.47% and 0.87%, respectively, with the materials sector index closing down by 0.64%.

On the other hand, food and beverage led the gainers and increased by 1.88%, while the telecom sector went up by 1.76%.

Last week, Tadawul saw the worst losses in nine years as it dropped by 1,110 points on concerns regarding the global pandemic of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and the outlook for oil prices.
