UAE – Mubasher: Emirates airline and flydubai have temporarily halted more than 16 flight routes starting 17 March, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Zawya reported.

Emirates has closed flights from and to nine cities in Portugal, Malta, Cyprus, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Turkey, bringing the total number of the suspended routes to 30.

Meanwhile, flydubai has cancelled seven destinations, including India, Ukraine, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, and Sudan, with more flights expected to be stopped starting Wednesday, 18 March, with Azerbaijan, Djibouti, and Egypt.
