Saudi Arabia imposes curfew to combat coronavirus outbreak

Riyadh – Mubasher: The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz, has issued a decree enforcing a curfew to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The curfew will be imposed for a period of 21 days from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day, starting from Monday evening.

Vital sectors such as military and security, healthcare, and media will be exempted from the curfew, as well as the food, transportation, water, energy, and telecom industries.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the delivery of food, medicinal needs, and other essential goods and services using smart device applications is allowed during the time of curfew.
