Kuwait allows special flights to Cairo for Egyptian residents

Kuwait allows special flights to Cairo for Egyptian residents
The move is in response to a request by Egyptian authorities

Mubasher: Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday said that a daily chartered flight to Cairo will take off from the Kuwait International Airport, operated by Egypt Air, to evacuate Egyptian residents returning back home.

This comes after Egyptian authorities made a request to allow more evacuation flights, according to an official statement.

A daily flight will take place as of Wednesday, 25 March, at 4 p.m. local time, until 30 March.

Egypt Air was granted the right to operate commercial flights at one daily flight for one week to transport returning Egyptians.

It is noteworthy that Egypt and Kuwait joined other countries worldwide and suspended all inbound and outbound flights in a bid to combat the outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
