Tadawul down 3% at Monday’s close
Main index retreated below the 6,000 points mark

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) declined for the second consecutive day, as the all-share index TASI lost 2.94% and closed at its lowest level since October 2016 at 5,990.23 points.

All the marker sectors ended the session in decline, except for the pharmaceuticals sector, as banks and materials fell by 3.14% and 2.79%, while energy and telecom declined by 1.86% and 1.82%.

A total of 190.44 million shares were traded at a value of SAR 4.09 billion, distributed over 217,880 transactions.

Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 14.36 million shares, while Al Rajhi logged the biggest turnover at SAR 519.21 million.

Maadaniyah led the rising stocks as it surged by 9.98%, while Astra was the biggest loser and dropped by 10%.

The Nomu-Parallel Market index fell by 7.89% to close at 5,001.20 points, losing 428.61 points.
