Egypt reports 40 COVID-19 cases

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has reported an increase in the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases whose test results turned from positive to negative to a total of 161.

The ministry’s spokesperson revealed the recovery of five Egyptians, who were granted exit from the quarantine hospital after receiving the needed medical care and completing recovery, as per the instructions of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The number of recovering cases has now reached 121, from 161 whose lab test results turned from positive to negative.

Meanwhile, 40 new cases tested positive for the novel virus, including 39 Egyptians and a Jordanian who were in contact with previously reported cases.

This brings the number of reported cases in Egypt to 576, as of Saturday, with 121 recorded recoveries and 36 deaths.
