EGX30 ends Monday in red; market cap loses EGP 8.9bn
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 539.59 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note with its benchmark EGX30 index sliding by 2.45% to 9,521 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX70 EWI rose by 0.31% to 981 points, while the broader EGX100 index fell by 1.47% to 1,022 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index declined by 1.2% to close at 1,323 points.

The market cap shrank EGP 8.9 billion to close at EGP 529.05 billion on Monday from EGP 537.9 billion in the previous session.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 894 million and EGP 12.3 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 906.4 million.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 539.59 million after 183.7 million shares were traded through 21,200 transactions.
