Mubasher: Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) announced the election of Mohammad Jassem Al Sagr uncontested to the position of the chamber’s chairman, succeeding Ali Mohammed Thunayan Al Ghanim, according to an official statement on Monday.

The decision was made during the public authority’s meeting held on 31 March, where the supervising committee announced 12 winning candidates after four others apologised for not completing their candidacy procedures due to the impact of measures taken against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

It is noteworthy that Al Sagr held several national, regional, and international roles. He served as the chairman of the Council for Arab and International Relations since August 2009 and the head of the Arab Parliament from 2005 to 2009.
