Kuwait extends public holiday 2 more weeks, isolates 2 cities over coronavirus
The Kuwaiti cabinet extended the partial curfew by two hours

Mubasher: The Kuwaiti government on Monday decided to extend the suspension of work in all ministries and state agencies by two weeks until Thursday, 23 April 2020, as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The cabinet added on its official Twitter account that all government bodies would now remain on holiday until Sunday, 26 April 2020.

In addition, it extended the partial curfew by two hours to run from 5 p.m. until 6 a.m. effective immediately.

It further announced a full lockdown on the two cities of Jleeb Al Shuyoukh and Mahboula. 

During the cabinet's meeting, the Kuwaiti health minister provided the latest developments regarding the virus outbreak as per official data and statistics by the World Health Organisation (WHO), including the total number of infections and recoveries on a national, regional, and international scale.

On Monday, the GCC state reported a total of 665 virus infections and 103 recoveries.
