Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) climbed by 5.51% or 205.29 points to register 3,928.23 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session, extending its gains from Monday, 6 April.

The market cap value reached AED 426.44 billion, up by around AED 15.85 billion from AED 410.59 billion during the previous session.

A total of 78.40 million shares were traded through 2,290 transactions at a total value of AED 176.46 million.

The banks sector topped the risers with 8.80%, followed by the telecommunications segment with 2%.

 Methaq Takaful Insurance Company led the gainers with 14.81%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co. topped the losers with 4.99%.

Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 30.58 million shares traded at a value of AED 45.79 million.

Meanwhile, the blue chip Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 6.02%, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) declined by 4.86%.
