Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased by 3.56% or 62.99 points to close Thursday's trading session at 1,830.02 points, recovering its losses from Wednesday, 8 April.

The market cap rose by AED 6.46 billion to AED 274.94 billion, compared to AED 268.48 billion during the previous session.

Around 208.64 million shares were traded through 4,448 transactions at a total value of AED 230.36 million.

The banks sector topped the gainers with 4.87%, followed by the consumer staples segment with 4.53%.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) led 27 rising stocks with 14.55%, while Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance headed five losing stocks with 4.95%.

Deyaar Development posted the highest trading volume of 41.63 million shares, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 57.26 million.

In the meantime, the blue chip Emirates NBD advanced by 7.69%, while DXB Entertainments rose by 4.96%.
