Boursa Kuwait down on Thursday
The market’s turnover soared by 76.7% on Thursday

Mubasher: The Kuwaiti indices closed Thursday’s trading session on a collective decline, dragged by MSCI’s decision to postpone the implementation of the MSCI Kuwait Indexes’ reclassification to emerging markets until November 2020 instead of May. 

The All-Share and Premier markets fell by 2.59% and 3.39%, respectively, whereas the Main and BK 50 indices edged lower by 0.52% and 0.51%, respectively.

The market’s turnover soared by 76.7% to stand at KWD 62.88 million from KWD 35.59 million a day earlier. The trading volume hiked by 30.8% to 187.13 million shares from 143.08 million on Wednesday.

The real estate sector came on top of eight fallers with 4.01%, whereas the consumer goods segment was the only riser with 0.52%.

Alargan International Real Estate headed the declining stocks with 26.24%, whereas Munshaat Real Estate Projects Co. was the top rising stock with 10%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH), down 2.72%, hit the largest turnover of KWD 16.13 million.

Ahli United Bank – Bahrain (AUB Bahrain), down 1.98%, led the trading activity through the exchange of 29.4 million shares.
