Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has lifted the temporary suspension on the exports of Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) to Saudi Arabia.

Following a ban for 20 months, Julphar's exports to Saudi Arabia will be resumed after the SFDA carried out inspections of the company's manufacturing facilities, according to a press release on Thursday.

The company will start exporting over 100 products registered in Saudi Arabia, which will have a positive effect on the company's sales, profitability, and cash flow.

The financial impact of resuming the exports will be registered in Julphar's financial results for the third quarter of 2020.

Commenting on the decision, Julphar's chairman, Sheikh Saqer Humaid Al Qasimi, said: "We will continue to strengthen our partnership and cooperation with all relevant regional authorities today and in the future, as our products continue to be successfully sold in 50 markets around the world."
